Description
Brokenwood ILR Reserve is undoubtedly one of the greatest examples of Hunter Valley Semillon we see each vintage. Fruit for the 2018 ILR Reserve was sourced from the Oakey Creek Vineyard in Pokolbin. Planted in 1982, Oakey Creek is recognized as one of the finest and most awarded sites in the region.
Fruit was hand harvested and then crushed, chilled and pressed immediately. Fermentation took place via natural yeasts in stainless steel without any time in oak and no malolactic fermentation.
Released only from the very best years, Brokenwood ILR Reserve is released with a little age and is drinking beautifully now. These are also wines that will age exceptionally well.
