A fairly new release from this Barossa stalwart. Its quirky label underlies a great wine with solid red fruit balanced by lovely bitter-sweet chocolate tannins and understated oak handling.

The rich opulent shiraz is blended with the meaty, savoury Mataro to produce a rich full-bodied red. Drink with any red meat dish. ABV: 14.7% 750mL

Enticing nose of violet, sweet cassis, blue berries and tobacco. The palate is medium weighted and firm with the grainy tannins that epitomise this varietal. Good for now, good for the cellar.
