In a glass, it reveals a captivating dark brick red hue. The aroma is an intricate dance of blackberry, dark cherry, florals, and blueberries, all enveloped in a chassis of graphite, minerals, and a hint of char.
The taste profile is dark, linear, and brooding, featuring abundant dark berry, bright pomegranate, and raspberry fruit flavours. These are harmoniously embraced by an exceptionally fine chalky tannin structure, offering persistence, focus, and linearity.
This Shiraz, with an ideal drinking window from 2024 to 2035, was harvested in March-April 2021, bottled in October 2022, and released in March 2023. With an alcohol content of 14.5% by volume, a total acidity (TA) of 6.1g/L, and a pH of 3.52, it's a masterful expression of South Australian Shiraz.
