Chateau Lagnet Bordeaux Superieur 750mL

For almost two centuries the three traditional Bordeaux varieties of merlot, cabernet franc and cabernet sauvignon have grown in the Chateau Lagnet vineyard. Planted on gently sloping hillsides and rounded hilltops on a rather dense clay terroir on an underlying layer of fossil rich limestone which is particularly favourable to the development of the merlot grape.

The Reserve wine is a blend of 80% merlot and 20% cabernet sauvignon and in the 2016 vintage with ripe merlot dominating the palate the wine is soft and luscious with a nice backbone supported by the cabernet component.

Perfect to drink now this wine will still improve in the bottle for a further 5 years.
