Description
Pinot Noir’s traditional home is Burgundy in eastern France. Temperamental to grow and thin skinned, Pinot prefers cool climates and requires low yields to concentrate flavours. So, it’s expensive as well as somewhat risky to make. Challenging but definitely worth the trouble.
Pinot Noir thrives in the Adelaide Hills due to its high altitude and cold climate. The cool growing conditions suit the sensitive nature of the variety, producing wines which are pristine expressions of both variety and region.
